People get excited about drinks. Especially when they’re on the company card. But they’re even more buzzed about making a drink their own. We’ve seen it behind our mobile bar countless times – the questions, the improv, the light in their eyes. Cocktails have a recipe, sure, yet they’re never too prescriptive. 

During our cocktail masterclass in your home, we can teach some basic skills and techniques, and leave the rest up to your employees. They’re then free to experiment. Say what they like or dislike. Show off their personality and ask how other people are crafting theirs. For the time being, it’s the closest we might get to the after-work pub crawl. 

Any excuse for a cocktail party is a good one. However, you might want to theme it around someone’s birthday, a leaving do or a probation-passing milestone. You’re basically making celebrations that much more special under the circumstances. And we sure could use a bit of the old normal in our lives right now.

There are three Jonny Cocktail virtual masterclass packages: Box 1, 2 and 3. They all come with the same ingredients. You can scale up with extra drinks equipment, or stick to the basics if people have their own glasses and shakers. 

We’ve picked three bona fide favourites for the drinks themselves. Get ready to make two martinis – the Porn Star and Espresso – as well as a classic mojito. We also offer non-alcoholic recipes so nobody is left to just watch the fun unfold.

There’s music too, and plenty of chatter along the way. Our host Jonny ensures this won’t be like a typical Zoom call, which – let’s face it – can run into awkward silences sometimes. Instead, we keep momentum high and the conversation flowing. Our playlist is stacked with feel-good tunes, and there are games and prizes to be won (but we won’t share that secret here – you’ll have to see what we’ve come up with first-hand…).

We had the pleasure of taking our bar services to Covent Garden to be part of a fantastic event hosted by coppenhagencvb.com. The evening focused on promoting the event and tourism industry in Copenhagen. It brought together a mix of hospitality and tourism professionals from around Europe, offering a great opportunity for our team.

Our brief was to provide an interactive drink experience for the attendees, engaging them in the art of cocktail making and giving them the opportunity to make their own. The venue, Ice Tank studios, provided the most simple but effective setting for us to set-up our mobile bars.

On arrival, guests were treated to our Lingonberry Collins, served in a sweet bag. A refreshing mix of vodka, orange liqueur lingonberry juice, syrup and lime. Creating new, bespoke cocktails for events is part of the service we provide, not just for our corporate clients but for our private clients too!

The client had chosen 4 of our 2 metre HD branded mobile bars. Each one with branding for the events partners and these not only looked good but created a great photo opportunity for their representatives on the night. These are just one of the range of bars we have for hire, which enables us to not only offer personalisation to events but also fit in with various themes and styles.

We have a team of mixologists and on the night we had 4, all with a mobile bar each and their own cocktail which demonstrated a different method of drink preparation. The guests were split into teams and they all had 15 minutes at each bar.

Each team received a demonstration of the cocktail by our mixologist and then guests had the opportunity to come behind the bar and make their own. This offered a great mix of individual skill, team work and most importantly, inclusion for all involved. Having the guests participate in this way combined both team building and a cocktail masterclass, both services that we offer.

Bar 1 – Smokey Old Fashioned

This classic cocktail provided our mixologist with the ideal opportunity to showcase his skill. Not only is it a delicate blend of bourbon, sugar and bitters but also a skilled technique using our smoking gun. Infused with Applewood and finished with a flamed orange peel, it tastes as good as it looked!

Bar 2 – Mojito

One of our go to cocktails at our masterclasses. It offers 2 techniques with muddling the ingredients first before building the rest of the drink and finishing with crushed ice and a fresh mint sprig garnish. It is a great test of memory as team members try and remember the ingredients and the way it goes together!

Bar 3 – Pornstar Martini

Most people know the drink by now, but this is the chance to see if you know how it all goes together! Another fantastic drink to test skill and presentation and as everyone loves them, they want to make sure they get it right. To add a personalised touch, we had a branded edible cocktail topper to sit on top of this fabulous drink and finish in style.

Bar 4 – Lingonberry Cosmo

The use of the lingonberries came from our research in to Scandinavian drinks and offered a great replacement to cranberry juice. There was only one stand out attraction in this drink as guests got the chance to use our Flavour Blaster! Once the shaking and straining was complete, the chilled martini glass was full, the pressure was on as we tested our guests bubble making skills! The Flavour Blaster is an innovative way to not only garnish the cocktail but add an instant aroma of your choice.

We have been fortunate to provide a number of bar services at Oakwell Hall over the last four years and we look forward to many more.

The venue lends itself to so many possibilities without restrictions enabling couples to do things exactly how they want. This can be from the time they arrive to the decoration of the room and outdoor areas. The barn itself is a stunning space set in the country park and just 15 minutes from Leeds city centre.

Our most recent wedding for Esther and Andrew was a great day and turned out to be a fantastic education for the Jonny Cocktail team.

Esther and Andrew used the flexibility Oakwell Hall offers by bringing in their chosen caterers. Their choice, FOOD REVIVAL was for us, an inspired choice and opened up our eyes to the challenges facing our environment from food wastage.

All the food provided by Food Revival had been ‘intercepted’ through their relationships with supermarkets and suppliers in the Leeds and Bradford area.

With the vision and culinary skills of the team at OWT (based in Kirkgate Market, Leeds) they put together a feast of canapés, hot and cold buffet and desserts for the wedding guests.

There was no formal menu planning or tasting before the event, it was just a fantastic team effort to bring fresh ingredients on the day which the OWT team then prepared and served alongside volunteers from Food Revival. For us, it was amazing to think they did not know until they arrived and looked through the ingredients, what they would be serving and it ran like they had known all along.

We have since taken the time to look further into what Food Revival is all about and the value it has to their local community.

As a not for profit community interest company made up of volunteers, staff and family they intercept surplus food items. These are then re-distributed through channels such as an open market, food parcels and to support local schools. They work alongside RETHINK FOOD (insert link) who aim to provide awareness, understanding and positive actions linked to food.

It was a pleasure to work alongside the teams and increase our awareness of the impact on food waste and how it can benefit, not damage the hospitality industry we are part of.

We have built up a successful working relationship with Thomas Sabo and it was a pleasure to be invited to make cocktails at their recent opening event.

The opening of the Mococo Thomas Sabo Boutique in the Met Quarter in Liverpool was a fantastic afternoon of glitz, cocktails and glamour.

We installed our 2 metre foliage fronted bar to fit in with the theme of their launch. Our bars can also be customised with your choice of flowers or other designs to ensure we keep to your vision / style.

Our mixologist was on hand with a menu of 2 cocktails and 1 mocktail. We even had personalised gin martinis with the company logos on top in an edible form, this added to the ‘instagrammable’ brief we had been given for our drinks.

The versatility of our mobile bar hire range makes it possible for us to deliver drink services in a range of venues, so a boutique was not a problem for us. We provided an all inclusive package so the client did not need to worry about any of the drink requirements. This includes a choice of bar, glassware or high quality polycarbonates, drinks and our mixologist.

Over the past 12 months we have been working at a number of the Campus Living Villages throughout the country. Throughout term time they hold a number of Village life events, these are aimed at helping residents make new friends and unforgettable memories.

They contacted us to provide interactive cocktail master classes for their residents. This would be a way of encouraging them to meet new people, especially important at the beginning of term.  We have a range of classes aimed at guest participation as well as education around mixology and basic cocktail making skills.

Our client chose our team challenge game which involves 2 teams going head to head once they have received instruction from our bartender. The team captains then go head to head in a speed round with double points on offer!

The team challenge game is a fantastic way to get people working together. It offers opportunities for leadership, communication and most importantly, good fun!

Who would of known a group of students could bond so well whilst drinking cocktails!!

Receiving phone calls through a recommendation is always pleasing, non-more so than what this call led to.

The brief was to design a range of cocktails to compliment individual glassware styles and packages. These would then be used in our clients brochures and marketing campaigns. We excitedly got to work producing cocktails we felt would match this brief and have the desired effect for our corporate client.

An event wouldn’t be complete for us without taking bars from our mobile bar hire range. One bar was used as a preparation area whilst another was used for the photo shoot itself.

With a pre-event visit to the barbers and a crisp ironed shirt, we were ready for our day behind the camera. In full cocktail bartender mode, we produced a number of cocktails and drinks which have now featured in the brand’s brochures and online marketing campaigns.

Manchester’s Northern Quarter has become one of the North’s trendiest neighbourhoods so when we got invited to a birthday party there the team were very excited. But there was a catch, it was a bar service they wanted more than our company.

The venue, Ezra & Gil had been hired out for a birthday party and we were tasked with providing a mobile bar hire to fit in with the venue as well as a drinks offering for the guests.

After our site visit we settled on our gold mirrored bar, which we all agreed complimented the venue. As part of our mobile bar hire range we have a selection of configurations to suit the requirements of various themes and events.

On the night we supplied three cocktail bartenders to keep the guests suitably hydrated. Making an appearance was our cocktail slush machine serving passion fruit martinis and raspberry rum coolers. With the DJ keeping the dance floor busy all night, these were a welcomed refresher when the opportunity came.

Our events bar manager was on hand to ensure the smooth flow of the evening and we also provided floor staff to keep the venue presentable at all times.

The evening even led to an impromptu cocktail making class with the birthday girl and her friends teaming up with one of our bartenders to make their favourite cocktail!

Sometimes we have to take a step back and remember we are actually at work. Raphi’s Bar Mitzvah was definitely one of those nights.

From driving down the woodland entrance, to taking in the grandeur of the Tenants Hall, we knew Tatton Park was in for a party.

Working alongside Kate Park Events, it didn’t take much to decide that our mirrored island bar would be a perfect addition. Not only did it allow for the large number of guests to be served efficiently, but created a centre piece to the room, somewhere we knew everyone would be visiting!

Raphi and his friends then had their own mirrored bar complete with a range of soft drinks and a passion fruit and strawberry slush.

As guests arrived we were ready with a selection of drinks before they entered the main room. Prosecco, Watermelon Aperol Spritzes and Lychee Martinis to get the party started.

They were then lead down a fabulous balloon walkway before entering the Tenants Hall.

The evening was a fantastic celebration for Raphi and his family and friends and another one the Jonny Cocktail team were proud to be a part of.

Fortunately Rob Clayton Photography was on hand to produce these shots to give you an idea of not just the fun we had, but how these guests got to celebrate with Raphi.

We were given the task of providing a mobile bar for a large appliance distributor. we worked with the client to ensure the look of the Mobile bar was right and we also themed the drinks to tie into the Brand.

We have been part of some fantastic wedding celebrations in the Barn at Oakwell Hall.

Our cash bar option is a popular addition and our most booked service in the Barn. With this option we provide a full bar service including bar, staff, glassware most importantly, the drinks! Guests then just pay for their drinks at the bar and we do the rest.

We ensure our prices are reasonable and the bar will be stocked with beers, ciders, wines, spirits, fizz and cocktails!

Before the event we check to see if you have any drink requests or suggestions. This as well as getting a few cocktail requests you may like to put on our menu!

Our Gin Bar also looks stunning in the barn and we have a number of drinks packages. These include drinks on arrival, cocktail hours and G&T favours!!

We recently provided a dry hire service at the barn. Our clients wanted their guests to brink their own drinks so we provided a bar for them to serve from. This as well as a large selection of glassware including flutes, jam jars and kilner jars. We then came back at the end of the evening to clear away our glassware and bar.

The barn is set in the grounds of Oakwell Hall Country Park and is a short walk from Oakwell Hall itself. It is just 10 minutes from JCT 27 of the M62.
